The work belongs to the creators

Every interview, image and video on this site is published with the permission of the creator it features. Their work stays theirs. Please don't reuse it without asking them.

Features are earned by the work

Our editors choose who Dumb Dope interviews, and we highlight people for the work they make. Payment plays no part: buying a promoted listing has no effect on who we interview or what we write.

Accounts

You sign in with a link we email you. Keep your email address current and don't share your sign-in links. We may suspend an account that's used to break these terms.

Your directory listing

Listings are free. What you put in yours has to be true, about you, and yours to share: no impersonation, no one else's work presented as yours, nothing unlawful or hateful. Edits go live when you save them. We review listings and may edit, hide or remove one that breaks these terms or that we don't think belongs in the directory.

Promoted listings

A promoted listing costs $25 and runs for 30 days from when your payment is confirmed. It's paid once through Stripe and doesn't renew on its own. While it runs, your listing appears first in the directory and in your field and is labeled “Promoted” so visitors know it's paid. Buying another 30 days before one ends adds the new days to the end.

Refunds: if we hide or remove your listing during a promotion for any reason other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund the unused days. Otherwise promotions aren't refundable once they start. If something went wrong with a payment, email hello@dumbdope.com.

Nominations

Sending a nomination doesn't guarantee a feature. We reach out to the people we feature directly, and nothing is published without their agreement.
