What we collect

Your email address, if you create an account, join the newsletter, nominate someone or request a directory listing. The details you put in a listing request or listing: your name, roles, city, bio, links, photo and gallery images. What you type into a nomination. If you buy a promoted listing, the payment details Stripe sends back to us: your name, email, the amount and the date. We never see or store your card number.

What's public

Your directory listing is public by design: name, roles, city, bio, links, photo and whether you're open to work, exactly as you set them. Your email is never shown on the site.

How we use it

To sign you in, run the directory, review nominations, send the newsletter you asked for, take payment for promoted listings, and contact you about your listing or a feature. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies

We set one cookie when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It's needed for your account to work. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page.

Who helps us run the site

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores account and sign-in records. Sanity stores the site's content, including listings and listing requests. Resend sends our email. Stripe processes payments. Each handles your information only to provide that service to us.

Your choices

You can edit your listing any time after signing in. To delete your account or listing, unsubscribe, or ask what we hold about you, email hello@dumbdope.com and we'll take care of it.
