Aija Larry, painter and mixed media, Chicago

"Being Creative" is complicated. For me, it's being open minded and free spirited. When your being creative, your being innovative, your thinking outside of the box. When your being creative you are allowing your mind to roam freely, in order to create something new and exciting, but at the same time there is intention behind every step of the process.

DJ Chris Brown, dj, Carol Stream, IL

Being creative has many definitions to me. But most importantly it’s thinking outside the box. Take ideas outside of the normal lines of thinking. In my line of work, that could be taking an idea and flipping it to make something familiar but new. But, it could also be making an original “work of art” i.e. a beat or melody.

Kavellee, graphic designer

Being Creative to me means completely expressing your views in a style of media. Media doesn’t limit to just music, art and fashion.. It expands through anything with a meaning.
